Cara Fitzgerald is returning to her home following the death of both her parents. She is surprised to learn she is the sole owner of the family farm. Following her lifelong dream she opens her own business, she turns her grandparents old home into a Quilt Shop. Raising her sons in the country had also been one of her dreams and now that she had come home she was going to do just that.

Upon learning that Clay Morgan had also returned to Clearmeadow with his daughter Maggie, Cara is even more torn as to when to tell her son the identify of his father, but when Travis and Maggie form a close friendship she knew she could no longer keep her secret.

Learning the farm is being harassed by a large company to sell some its property; she takes the same stand as her father and refuses to sell. This decision just increased the vandalism at the farm. She is determined to find the vandals.

Cara also discovers family secrets that help explain her parent’s harsh behavior and gives her closure.
